Renowned as one of the most challenging fasts, this festival is deeply rooted in folk faith and is eagerly awaited by believers throughout the year, fostering a religious commitment for the well-being, happiness, prosperity, and longevity of their children.

Evening Arghya Timings on Chhath Puja 2023Evening Arghya is performed on the third day of Chhath Puja, marking the main worship of the festival.Devotees and their family members gather at the ghat on the third day to offer Arghya to the setting sun. In 2023, the evening Arghya of Chhath Puja will be observed on November 19th, with the sunset scheduled for 05:26 pm.

Time to offer Arghya to the rising sun on the fourth day- The fourth day is the concluding day of Chhath festival, where Arghya is offered to the rising sun, observing the Mahavrat.In 2023, the Arghya to the rising sun will be offered on November 20th, with the sunrise expected at 06:47 am.

Important traditions-Devotees are advised not to consume non-vegetarian items, garlic, and onion during Chhath Puja.Women observing the fast are instructed not to consume anything without offering Arghya to the Sun God.While preparing the sacred Prasad, utmost care should be taken not to spoil it inadvertently.Worshipers are encouraged to use only  baskets made of bamboo for worship, avoiding steel or glass utensils.The Prasad for Chhath Puja should be exclusively made in pure ghee, adhering to traditional customs.
